New Year's Party

I got my hair cut today, finally! It’s a new year and a new hair style too! LOL. I am very busy now but I need to update my profile because I might not be able to write anything tomorrow. I will be very busy tomorrow since we are hosting a New Year’s Eve party. My husband and I will be busy cleaning up the house and recovering on New Year’s Day! My husband is cooking some food to serve for our American visitors while I am cooking Filipino food for my Filipina friends. I’m sure my Filipino friends will also like his food and the American friends will like some of my food. Cleaning, cooking and cleaning again is a lot of work but it’s all good!

Our Christmas Party

The Christmas party that I attended last night was fun! A lot of my friends came to the party. We had lechon baboy and it was really good and crunchy! yum yum yum.

I am also glad that we came to the party and we settled some very important matters too. A good friend of mine had some problems with some Filipino friends. I am glad they all talked last night and hopefully everything is OKAY now.

It was just a small misunderstanding. All I want for them is to be friends again and no hard feelings. Let the bygone be bygone! It's New Year and a new beginning!!!

Gift opening

There are no more presents underneath our Christmas tree! My husband and I opened our presents early tonight. I like all the gifts I received from him and he liked everything he received from me too, which is good!

I was too lazy to cook our dinner so I just asked my husband to buy me something from Red Lobster. My husband cooked something he likes since he doesn't like seafood. I made a fruit salad last night so we would have it for our dinner tonight. We had a nice and romantic dinner and our Christmas was really fun.

fun night!

Our Christmas party was really fun! A lot of people attended the party and it seemed like they all enjoyed it. There was a band but I didn’t like them that much because I expected to hear more Christmas music but they didn’t even play one Christmas song. They usually played old songs. It’s okay, no big deal! I still had fun and that’s what matters! Right?

TGIF!

Thank God it’s Friday! I am looking forward to our Fil-Am Christmas party tomorrow. I just hope that the weather is not too bad otherwise my husband won’t drive us to the party. It will snow tomorrow but hopefully not too bad and hopefully it will be early in the day!
I am tired today. I got up out of bed around 2:00 PM. My back hurt badly last night but when I got up this afternoon, I felt a lot better!

My friends came over yesterday. We cooked some Filipino food and it was good! After we had our lunch, we went to Park Meadows Mall. I didn’t buy anything because hubby and I spent a lot already on shopping our Christmas gifts. While I was at the mall, I felt really tired and my tummy felt tight. Maybe because I ate too much when we had our lunch!

balikbayan box arrived!

The balikbayan box we sent to the Philippines finally arrived. I talked to my sister and she said my family all liked everything they received. They shared the chocolates with some neighbors. They still need to ship some of the items to Manila since there are a few things for my sister and her family who live there. Next time, I will just send them money instead of a balikbayan box so they can do whatever they want with the money for Christmas!

15th place!

I was playing a poker tournament online today with no re-buys and no add ons. There were 1,092 players when the tournament started and I finished in 15th place! Yehaaawww!!! Damn I’m good! Lol
I am proud of myself by finishing in 15th place. I didn’t win 1st place but hey, 15th place is not that bad! “wink”

Maybe next time I should play for real money. Actually, I am planning to play in a free roll this Saturday. The tournament will start at 1:00 pm so I hope I am awake by that time...hehhehe … I hope I get to place in the money! Wish me luck!!!

25 weeks baby

My baby is now 25 weeks today. Head to heels, my baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. His weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but he's beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he'll start to look more and more like a newborn. He's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

Pacman is the man!!! lol

I had fun last night. Me and my husband watched the Pacquiao vs. De La Hoya fight along with some friends that came over. Pacquiao won the fight and since I am Filipino I am proud of him! I couldn’t help from screaming during the fight. My husband was telling me to chill out a little bit since I am pregnant! Hahahha Even my friend’s husband told me “I hope you didn’t scare your baby!” heheheheh
I really had fun and enjoyed the fight last night. To be honest, I was scared at first and thought De La Hoya would beat Pacquiao because he is bigger than him. But I was wrong and thank God! I really like Pacquiao because he has a good heart and he is also a down to earth person. Pacman, you’re the man!!!!

Toothache

Hubby called for my dental appointment tomorrow. My tooth bothers me so much. I thought it would be better if I wait until I give birth but my OB doctor told me that it's better to get it done as soon as possible, otherwise it would cause a premature labor. I am glad because I don't think I can wait for a few months for this irritating toothache!
