partying!

I had fun yesterday at Sharon and Kevin's wedding anniversary party. At the same time we threw a surprise birthday party for our friend Ate Cindy! As usual, there were pictures taken here, there and everywhere! Heheheh

I was tired when I came home. Hubby received packages from friends who were so kind as to give us gifts for our baby. They are all nice. I am looking forward to another baby shower next week at my husband’s work. I want this baby shower to be over as soon as possible so hubby and I can concentrate on finishing the nursery and buying everything we need for Von!

my 32 weeks baby update

By now, my baby weighs 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in my uterus. I'm gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to my baby. In fact, he'll gain a third to half of his birth weight during the next 7 weeks as he fattens up for survival outside the womb.

sleepless night

I didn’t get a lot of sleep last night. My baby kept me awake with a lot of punching and kicking here, there and everywhere inside my tummy! I got up at 3:00 AM because I was hungry which might be the reason baby was so restless. LOL

I hope I can sleep better tonight since I have a lot of work to do tomorrow. My friends will be here to help me cook some Filipino food for my baby shower. I am really lazy when it comes to getting up early but I have to do it tomorrow :(

My 31 weeks baby

This week, my baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.

Am I dreamin?!

I was playing poker online again. I suck! LOL... Now, I am hungry but don't know what to eat. The last time I ate was 12 noon. That was my brunch! Hhhmmmm....I wish I am in the Philippines right now. I can just go to the mall and get what I want. Or go to the nearest restaurant and order something good and yummmmy!!! CRAP! I think I am dreaming now...hehehe..I can't wait to go back in the Philippines and I hope it's gonna be next year or early 2010. I still need to discuss this matter to my hubby lovey! "wink". I am planning to have my baby's first year birthday party in Cebu. That way, my family can help me organize for his party. I don't have to cook or get stress for the preparation and other things to do.

internet connection

I was pissed today. I thought our computer was broken because I coudn't get an internet connection. I tried to figure out what was wrong for almost 5 hours but i did not succeed! I was really mad!

Then my hubby came home after 6:00 PM and I asked him to fix our computer but he doesn't have much knowledge about computer troubleshooting so he decided to call comcast and he found out that there was an outage in our area and they are trying their best to fix it as soon as possible. I was relieved when my husband told me about it and thank God our internet connection is now back!

Baby shower registration

Hubby and I planned on waking up early today so we could run some errands and start registering for my baby shower! He’s been really sick so we weren’t sure if that was possible. However, he woke up at 6:30 this morning but went back to bed at about 7:00 and we were ultimately in bed until about 4:00 this afternoon. We spent more than two hours at Babies R Us registering and I don’t think we are even close to being finished. We need to be finished soon because my friend is throwing a baby shower for me on January 25th, only two weeks from now!

My husband and I were adding up the cost of everything we registered for and it was over $2,000. That didn’t even include some of the more expensive things like a deluxe stroller, crib, changing table, etc. I seriously doubt my friends are going to get us everything we need because we need way too much. If we add everything we didn’t register for today along with what we did register for it will probably cost close to $5,000! Our friends will get us some of the things we need but we only have so many friends so we are thinking it’s going to cost us close to $4,000. We could probably get by for a lot less but we want to be comfortable and more importantly, we want Von to be comfortable.

what a wonderful sweetheart!

Hubby came home early from work today. He is still feeling sick! He’s been coughing for a few days now. Ohhhh, poor sweetheart of mine! But instead of relaxing at home, he started working with our Christmas decorations. It’s about time to put them back in our boxes. He was cleaning up all the mess too! Haaayyy…I wanted to help him but I am lazy today and just playing poker online.

poor hubby, he is sick!

I am sad and worried because my husband is not feeling well. He’s been coughing all night and couldn’t sleep too. He woke up early to go to work and came home this morning (10:30AM) feeling so sick. I think he has fever. I gave him orange juice this morning and hoping it helps if he drinks a lot of vitamin C. My husband is a tough guy but I just don’t want to see him feeling sick!

Our New Year's party was fun! I thank everyone who attended our party as we welcome the year 2009! Thanks, Liezel and Larry, Mai, Joe, Joey and Kaya, Dauphine and Nicole, Glenndel, Brad and Rachelle, Vinnie and Janice for coming and choosing to celebrate New Year's Eve with us.


Goodbye 2008 and I say "HELLO 2009"! I just hope and pray that all is well this year. This year is a very special year for me and my husband because in less than 3 months we’ll get to see and hold our baby...Ohhhh, we are both excited to see how he looks like! :)

My husband got good news also from his boss recently. Despite the economy is down, I am glad and thankful to God that he still gets a year end bonus and a salary raise too. I was surprised that my husband will get a bonus and a raise because as we all know the mortgage company is not doing well! Thank you Lord for all the blessings!!! I love you and you are always in my heart! even though I haven’t visited your house (church) since I came here in USA but, I never forget to call you in good times and in bad times.

In my own opinion, it doesn’t matter if you go to church everyday or once a week or member in a church organization as long as you have a pure heart and never forget HIM (in thoughts or prayers) . It is the inside that counts the most, right? Well, I just wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
