My baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. He now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. He's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered his body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected his skin during his nine-month amniotic bath. My baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of his first bowel movement. At the end of this week, my baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Most likely he's in a head-down position. But if he isn't, my practitioner may suggest scheduling an "external cephalic version," which is a fancy way of saying he'll try to coax my baby into a head-down position by manipulating him from the outside of my belly.

Nice to have a lot of friends!
Some of my Filipina friends came over today. We had fun as usual. We cooked a lot of food. It is just a simple get together and of course, we played Tong-its and 31 , our passion! hehehehe... We are addicted to playing cards and betting a small amount of money just for fun! I ended up winning $4.00 .
Liezel, cooked utan binisaya, linat-an pork bone, chicken curry, pork bola bola, bihon, and kinilaw na talong while I cooked dried fish na pinikas, and nokos. Hhhhmmmm....yummy! I also made macaroni salad last night and Liezel baked chiffon cake last night too and brought it here today. It seems like we had some kind of party like birthday or fiesta because of all the food we served. Thanks Glenndel, Michelle and MJ also for helping me clean up our mess etc!
Here are photos of our food and some good friends that I met here in Colorado!

The nursery is almost done!
My husband and I are both excited for our first baby to arrive! We got him almost everything he needs to make him feel comfortable and make the nursery a lot nicer than what we had originally planned. We are already spoiling him! Hehehehe
Wow!!! Our house is now full of our baby items! It will be even worse once he starts playing with toys and we have to buy those. I am afraid there will be no more space in our house….ugh!
Anyways, here are photos of his nursery though it is not yet complete! My husband needs to install the video monitor and sound monitor. We also still need to get curtains and a curtain rod but we are having a hard time deciding what curtains we both like! Hhhhmmmm..we'll see! I am excited to get this things done and excited to see my baby and give him all the love and care in the world!

2nd baby shower
I am going to make lumpia today to bring to my 2nd baby shower tomorrow at my husband’s work. The first baby shower I had was with all Filipina friends and it was fun! The day after my first baby shower, one of my husband’s co-workers offered to throw us a baby shower too. We have already received some gifts from his co-workers because some of them bought their gifts online and had them delivered to our house and others will not be able to attend but wanted to get us something.
We registered at BabiesRus and I was surprised because a lot of the expensive baby items that we registered for have been purchased! There have been over $1000 of items purchased which makes me very happy because now our expenses for the rest of the baby items will be less than what we originally expected to spend.

What keeps me busy lately? well...not much! I just love to spend most of my time watching TV or playing poker online. There is this new soap opera (May bukas pa - TFC) that just started today that I really like so I guess I have something to look forward to during weekdays to keep myself entertained!
Aight! gtg now and poker tournament is about to start! "wink".
